WAKING WINDOWS 2012

Waking Windows 2 is a three day music & arts festival held in downtown Winooski VT from May 10-12, 2012 presented by Angioplasty Media with help from the Winooski Community Partnership.
There will be performances in a variety of venues in the downtown area including the Monkey House, the Methodist Episcopal Church, the Winooski Welcome Center, the StopLight Gallery, the parking garage, and the Block Gallery.  On Saturday May 12th there will be an Arts fair in the Winooski Welcome Center.

$25 gets you into all shows for all 3 nights…plus a cool button*.

Entrance to all individual shows will be $5-$8. Tickets for individual shows and pick up of weekend passes will be available at the Winooski Welcome Center!!

The Monkey House 

History: 
Waking Windows 1 ran from June 2nd to June 12th, 2012 and was held only at the Monkey House.  There were 13 shows in 11 days.
Waking Windows was originally an adaptation of a festival hosted by Peter Negroponte in 2010 at the North End Studios in Burlington, VT called the Other Music Festival.  The OMF was a response to the Discover Jazz Festival and held during the same week showcasing music that may not have been welcome in the setting of a highly publicized festival like the DJF; free improv, indie rock, noise and experimental music. Angioplasty Media co presented a few of the nights with Peter at the OMF and when we found out that he would not be pursuing the effort in 2011, decided to take on the task in Winooski.
This year we have decided to alter the time frame and expand the festival into the rest of downtown Winooski.  Seth Leonard and Jess Bridge of the Winooski Community Partnership have helped facilitate the organization and communication needed to get the project off the ground
